It's hard to believe that with all the noise about this issue, Honda is still not offering a software option to disable this feature. This scenario is no different than the outcry of BMW owners when BMW started to deploy their "Auto Start" feature not too long ago.We (MDXers) called it the " Highway Rumble Strip " noise. I went through 2 Clutches in 95,000. 3rd clutch I drove in "D4" (only uses gears 1-4) trouble free for next 100,000 with regular DW-1 fluid drain & fills. My 2019 Honda Pilot Elite Engine shuts off completely on eco mode. There are many instances where my Honda Pilot would shut off at a stop light and will not start back up. The whole car shuts off and there is a whole procedure to get the car back on. This has happened to me several times, which is very dangerous situation.

About 6 months ago I had all these warning lights: hill start assist, trail stability, road departure, vehicle stability, emissions system, power steering came on. The service dept reset the alerts and told us to replace the battery.No, as in eco mode won’t engage when the car has a check engine light. You can't turn it off.
