Today I started the truck and the heater came on before start and then threw a check engine light. I have tested the relays (solenoids) now trying to test the actual grid heater just need to know how many ohms resistance should the element have. I know there is power to the heater just need to test the heater to make sure it is working correctly. Thanks for your time.

The code is from the relay unplugged. The ECM is not seeing the relay. Try disconnecting the main power cable for the relay instead. The relay will still work.
