The best resolution IMO is to run one where the vertical resolution matches your monitors native resolution. This will give you the most clear image despite being stretched. My monitors native res is 2048x1152 (16:9), so I created a custom resolution in my nvidia control panel of 1536x1152 (4:3) and this looks the best to me.
