Personally i grinded till i got tier 3 weapons and armor and the broodmother was so easy that i did it a second time. And it wasnt even because of the t3 armor and weapons. Thing about grounded is that mutations are what gear the game towards you. So choose the mutations that fit you and gear up to support those mutations.
