It is a 4 cylinder 16v turbo so not sure how much similaritites they share. How ever I believe cosworth used some aspects of design from the BDA in the Mercedes engine.The standard swap for more power is the M104 TWIN CAM six cylinder which basically shares the same block as the earlier single cam straight six 2.6 M103 so most of the hardware is there already and you know its going to fit.
